sunday funday.

One of my favorite things to do on off days is absolutely nothing, with a big heaping side of not-getting-out-of-bed. But this Sunday, I decided to mix it up and do a few things I haven't done in a long while.

  • I finally saw The Grand Budapest Hotel, which was phenomenal. Wes Anderson over-delivered (in my opinion) on another fanciful world I'd love to be a part of. I was laughing out loud during most of the scenes, and Ralph Fiennes was amazing. And despite how strange people feel going to the movies solo, I thoroughly enjoyed it (small popcorn & all).
  • I went to the library! I haven't been in maybe a year or two (which, for me, is pretty disgraceful; and embarrassing-- they had to re-enter me into the system!), so it was so much fun to wander up creaky staircases to reading nooks and reacquaint myself with each section again. I even checked out a book or two
  • I grabbed myself a coffee and headed to the nearest bench in sunlight to kill some time before the movie and enjoyed the scenery (as well as the 60+ degree weather). Nothing beats sitting in the sun on a Sunday, drinking a delicious coffee and taking in a book. Clearly I need to do this more often!

How is your favorite Sunday spent? Let me know in a comment! I'm going to try to mix it up every weekend.
