I feel like we've all had those moments. When you get happy and create something lovely, and then someone comes along with something grander than grand, far exceeding that lovely creation of yours. And you feel small because of it, with your little --now seemingly meaningless-- creation.
What we tend to forget most of the time is that we don't have to do what everyone else is doing; we are all at different places in our life. Everyone learns-- and lives-- and their own pace.Just because you're older and wiser or have been working longer at it, doesn't necessarily mean that you're entitled to being in the same place as, say, a younger person. Unfortunately that's not the way the world works.
More importantly, you should always be proud of the achievements or creations you've made-- not matter the size! You don't lose your own light by another person lighting their candle.
So don't feel discouraged if people are out there doing (what you think are) greater things than you are! You're on your way to greatness, your journey is just taking a little longer--and there really is nothing wrong with that.
