kate spade new york: spring 2013 collection

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

Kate Spade's Spring 2013 collection premiered this past week and it had me, literally, dying over their patterns, prints, and professional wear! Coifed up very 1950's-- with a hint of 1980s neon, the gorgeously clad gals hung out under imitation construction beams (that I was more than used to passing under during my job in NYC) during the showing-- so clearly a city girl was at heart when Ms. Deborah Lloyd thought up this collection-- possibly a gal from the Flatiron district? Who knows! ;)
The 1950's inspiration, the peter pan colors, the pastels! And did I mention the cat eye sunglasses? :)
Pointy loafers, polka dot tights (which I just so happened to buy 2 weeks ago - love when this happens!), and pink! Can we go back a few months & do the whole mini skirts and naked legs thing over again? Can we take a few trips to the MoMA to soak in the Mondrian & pop art? Can this collection get into my closet immediately?
KSNY celebrates its 20th year on the scene with this collection, and I cannot see a better way to handjive into such a milestone. Or should I say, pop!
