& then i realized adventure was the best way to learn.

This past Saturday I received my undergraduate degree, which meant finally busting out my Kate Spade New York dress from Rent the Runway for the graduation ceremony, lots of family photos, food, and the realization of how quickly the past 4 years have flown by. The day was a whirlwind, to say the least!

Best part about this dress? (Besides the adorable tidbit I found when I took the dress of for the last time that night which was all too appropriate)

I rocked black sandals & a cardigan for the BBQ afterward & felt perfectly casual. Versatility may just be Kate Spade's middle name!
Dress: Kate Spade New York
Cardigan: Joseph A.
Ring: Vintage
Platforms: Jessica Simpson
Sandals: Payless

I was so sad to have to send the dress back, but I'm glad that I got to graduate wearing my favorite designer without shelling out tons of moolah or feeling guilty about buying a dress I'll only wear once (which is probably my worst fancy occasion habit ever). If you haven't signed up for Rent the Runway yet, feel free to snag an invite from me! It is seriously the coolest, most convenient friend's designer closet ever (without the dry cleaning costs and an extra size just in case)!

As for actually graduating, I am still in complete & utter denial! Did it really happen? Am I really getting older? Absolutely bananas.
