all of the girls are crazy!: kate spade new york - fall 2012Wednesday, February 22, 2012
Just in case you guys weren't aware, I'm kinda sorta a die hard Kate Spade New York fan. Since I've discovered her she has literally not made a thing I can think of that I wouldn't wear, didn't covet, or get the urge to spend my entire savings on. For their Fall 2012 line, shown just a few days ago via NYFW, Lloyd looked to Paris for inspiration, but still stayed true to the brand's roots, which created a crossover into an Anna Karenina-esque, 1960's French New Wave feel. Did I mention that I am also a huge vintage Francophile? Oh Kate, vous êtes trop fantastique!

And what better way to bring the swing coats, mix of bright & pastel colors, polka dots, stripes, & peter pan collars to life than with the help of my favorite french fashion street-style blogger, Garance Dore? She contributed this lovely print pattern to the collection!
I personally love the entire collection, with pieces not only quirky and fun (have you seen the little car clutches?) but intricately gorgeous; those coats are, literally, to die for. I love the idea of taking something as simple as a sweatshirt & making it into a fashionable, dressed up piece in your wardrobe--things like that truly make me love fashion and the ability to transform just about anything just by seeing it from a different angle. And I am ecstatic, especially, that cigarette pants are staying in the now-- I cannot get enough of that trend! Overall, my heart is, as always, won over by another magnifique collection!
Yeah yeah, I hear you! "Another entry ending with her gushing from the ears with praise about Kate Spade! I knew it!" But, truth be told, I am thoroughly convinced KSNY can do no wrong, simply because they get it right every single time. And what better way to start fall than dreaming, more than usual, of Paris? I can't think of anything better!
